Pipeline / Cell Therapy
RDC1
Celogos RCD1 is being developed as a treatment for urinary incontinence. Urinary incontinence affects around 1 in every 20 people, and the worldwide market for treatments for the condition is expected to increase to over USD 7 billion by 2006, mostly driven by the ageing global population.
Preclinical trials of RCD1 showed that muscle precursor cells could colonize the site of injection (urinary sphincter) and develop into fully developed muscle cells. Small human trials of the product began in 2005. Preliminary data has already been obtained and trial final data is expected in early 2008.
