RCD3 is being developed for a rare genetic ocular myopathy, caused by a genetic mutation that leads to the impaired function of muscles in the eye and eyelid. Preclinical research by Celogos has shown that this disorder could be corrected by taking biopsies of healthy muscle from elsewhere in the body, harvesting the precursor muscle cells and injecting these into the eyelid.
