Ella®
Ella® (CDB-2914) is a second-generation emergency contraceptive pill. The product is the first to have been designed as an emergency contraceptive, and works to prevent pregnancy following unprotected intercourse. In December 2006, Ella® entered a Phase III clinical trial, which is being conducted in sixteen clinics affiliated with the Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) across seven different US states. HRA Pharma expects to launch Ella ® in 2009.
